B062 Example Coursework

This is a controlled assessment (coursework completed under exam conditions within a time limit) it is worth 30% of your overall GCSE grade.  There is the option of completing B064 or B065, both of which are structured in a similar way and focus on creativity, either multimedia based (presentation, video or website)  or by programming. The controlled assessment is split in to 6 sections.

The exam board with provide you with a task (usually a problem to solve) and you will create a solution for them.  For example one of the tasks this year for B064 was to create a tourist information kiosk (the touch screen information machines that you find in places like Merry Hill) for a local tourism board.

WHAT DO I LEARN?

Whilst creating your solution you will also make a report showing how you have done it, you are being assessed in these 6 sections.

ACTIVITY

Experiment withBlocky, this will give you a taste of some of the logic that you would need to use for B065.
